Back at it again with the presentations

Day two of presentations and the nerves are still present. This is a much smaller group (just all of Tier II) but waiting for everyone to finish before going made the anticipation worse. My group presented dead last today so waiting for nine other groups to go didn't make it easy. In the end we all did well and some of the topics that were covered were pretty heavy. For me I always become so frustrated when I read about physicians who extort people in research projects to get money through grants or they skip over steps and falsify their data since their pride is one the line. Doing research as an undergraduate I know, to some extent, how much effort goes through making a project viable and collecting good data. Its time consuming and hard but its the right thing to do.
After lunch we all returned back to the medical school to watch a movie called "Code Black" about a county hospital (one of the busiest trauma centers in America). It was super intense and I had so much respect for the doctors and staff working there but seeing their issues with funding and how they couldn't take care of their patients made me sad. Funding healthcare is an issue that we will face in the future and it makes me worried what the work field of medicine will be like when I get there.
